Senator Williams moved that the Bill and amendments be
made the Special Order for Wednesday, March -8, 1916, at. 1
o'clock, which motion was rejected by yeas and nays as follows:

Whereupon Senator Zihlman moved that the Bill and
amendments be made the Special Order for Thursday, March
2, 1916, at 4 o'clock P. M. [Which motion prevailed. ]

The President laid before the Senate, laid-over Bill, with
amendments, being

SENATE BILL No. 183, BY MR. JOHNSON.

SUBJECT: STATE BOARD OF PRISON CONTROL.

Amendment proposed: "Amend page 15, Section 655, line
17, by inserting after the words 'three months, ' a comma, and
the following: 'except that any sentence under Section 414
of Article 27, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title 'Crimes
and Punishment, ' sub-title 'Railroads—Obstructing, ' may be
imposed in accordance with the provisions of said Section
414. " [Which was adopted. ]

Also: "Amend page 15, Section 654, line 21 of the printed
Bill, by inserting after the words 'three months, ' at the end
of the sentence a comma, and the following: 'except that any
sentence under Section 414 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, title 'Crimes and Punishment, ' sub-title
'Railroads—Obstructing, ' may be imposed in accordance with
the provisions of said Section 414. " [Which was adopted. ]

Also: "On page 7 of Section 629, line 7 of the printed Bill,
after the words 'real property7 and before the words 'that may
be appropriated, ' insert the words 'with the consent first ob-
tained of the Board of Public Works. '" [Which was read
and adopted. ]

Also: "On page 7, Section 630, line 5 of the printed Bill,
after the words 'and proper, ' insert a comma and then the
words 'and in case said Board does not establish such a sys-
tem of labor before the convening of the General Assembly of
1918 then the Board shall report to such General Assembly
