By Mr. Jones: Senate Bill No. 320, entitled "An Act to re-
peal Sections 7, 8, 11, 16 and 19-B of Article 43 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title 'Health, ' sub-title
'State Registrar of Vital Statistics, ' and to re-enact the
same, with amendments. " [Which was read the first time and
referred to the Committee on Sanitary Conditions of State. ]

By Mr. Jones: Senate Bill No. 321, entitled "An Act to
authorize the Chevy Chase Citizens' Committee of Chevy
Chase, Maryland, within the special taxing area described in
Chapter 610 of the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
approved April 16, 1914, entitled 'An Act to create a special
taxing area or district to be known as Section 2 and part
of Section 1 of the village of Chevy Chase in Montgomery
county, Maryland, ' as in said Act described, to purchase cer-
tain property in said Chevy Chase and to authorize the Board
of Commissioners of said county to levy a tax upon the taxable
property within said speeia-1 taxing area for that purpose. '7
[Which was read the first time and referred to Senators Jones,
Holmead and Johnson. ]

By Mr. Jones: Senate Bill No. 322, entitled "An Act author-
izing and directing the County Commissioners of Montgomery
county to issue bonds to an amount not to exceed twenty
thousand dollars ($20, 000), for the purpose of building, im-
proving and relocating the public road from the State road
at Dawsonville, known as the Poolesville road to the corporate
limits of Poolesville, in said Montgomery county, for a dis-
tance of four miles, more or less, provided that certain dona-
tions be made, as hereinafter provided, to the said County
Commissioners to be applied by them for the purposes herein;
and to collect and levy taxes in the Third Election District
of said county for the payment of said bonds and interest
coupons thereon. " [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Brown: Senate Bill No. 323, entitled "An Act to
authorize and direct the State Roads Commission to construct
a highway in Kent county, between Redding's Corner, near
Still Pond Station, and Hossinger's Corner. " [Which was
read the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Williams, by request: Senate Bill No. 324, entitled
"An Act to appropriate the sum of five thousand dollars
($5, 000) for the equipment of the State Armory Building at
Elkton. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]
