By Mr. Zihlman: Senate Bill No. 315, entitled "An Act to
add two sections to Article 25 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title 'County Commissioners, sub-title 'Public Roads, '
to be designated as Sections 104-a and 104-b, providing for the
erection and maintenance by the County Commissioners of
the several counties of the State, or by the Boards or officials
having jurisdiction over the public roads in counties where the
roads are not under the control of County Commissioners, of
sign or finger boards at the intersection of all county roads
with the State roads and State-aid roads in their respective
counties, and providing penalties for defacing, injuring or de-
stroying such sign or finger boards. " [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Zihlman: Senate Bill No. 316, entitled "An Act to
appropriate certain sums of money to the County Commis-
sioners of Allegany county, Maryland) for the support and
maintenance at Sylvan Retreat -of dependent insane persons
of Maryland, to meet the difference between the amount paid
by the counties of Maryland and the actual costs of support-
ing and maintaining such persons at said asylum. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Finance. ]

repeal Section 204 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title 'Somerset County, ' sub-title 'Princess
Anne, ' as enacted by Chapter 543 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1894, and to re-enact the same with
amendments. " [Which was read the first time and referred
to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]
By Mr. Jones: Senate Bill No. 318, entitled "An Act to
repeal Sections 250 and 251 of Article 43 of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws of Maryland, title 'Health, ' sub-title 'Hydro-
phobia, ' and to re-enact the same with amendments. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Sanitary Conditions of State. ]
By Mr. Collier: Senate Bill No. 319, entitled "An Act to
pay to Mary E. Seth of Talbot county, Maryland, a sum of
money to reimburse her for money paid to the Comptroller
of the Treasury of the State of New Jersey, as collateral in-
heritance tax to obtain a sum of money held in the Second
National Bank of Paterson, New Jersey, due the estate of
William W. Oliver, late of Talbot county, deceased. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Finance. ]
