By Mr. Legg: Senate Bill No. 300, entitled "An Act to
authorize and empower the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Queen Anne's county to transcribe the docket entries and
judgments in all cases now recorded in the old appearance
dockets of said Court, for the terms commencing with the
January term, 1880, and extending to the November term,
1905, inclusive, to the books in the office of said Clerk con-
taining the trial dockets of said Court, and to empower and
direct the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's county to
appropriate for the use of and to pay the said Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Queen Anne's county the sum of five hun-
dred dollars for his services in transcribing said docket entries
and judgments. " [Which was read the first time and referred
to Senators Legg, Cooper and Shepherd. ]

By Mr. Legg: Senate Bill No. 301, entitled "An Act to
regulate the exemption from taxation property in Queen
Anne's county. " [Which was read the first time and referred
to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Legg: Senate Bill No. 302, entitled "An Act to
authorize the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's county
to pay Percy Towers an annual pension of fifty ($5, 0) dollars,
and to levy said amount on the assessable property of said
county. " [Which was read the first time and referred to
Senators Legg, Cooper and Shepherd. ]

By Mr. Archer: Senate Bill No. 303, entitled "An Act to
declare the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland to the bequest contained in the will of Luther
J. Gross, late of Harford county, deceased, to the trustees
of Bethel Presbyterian Church and Congregation, a body
corporate, of Harford county. " [Which was read the first
time and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

By Mr. Warfield: Senate Bill No. 304, entitled "An Act to
add a new section to Article 59 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, title 'Lunatics and Insane, ' sub-title 'Lunatic and
Insane Paupers'; said section to follow immediately after
Section 1 of said Article, to be known as Section 1-A and
to prohibit the commitment of lunatic or insane persons to
county or city almshouses; to repeal Section 3 of said Article
and sub-title and re-enact the same, with amendments, arid to
add two new sections to said Article and subtitle, the same
to follow immediately after Section 3 thereof, to be known
respectively as Sections 3-A and 3-B, providing for the pay-
ment for the maintenance arid support of lunatic or insane
persons now committed and hereafter to be committed to hos-
