Also a petition of Samuel O. Redman, of "The Oaks, " Ard-
wick, Maryland, for himself and others, as a taxpayer of the
State, presenting arguments for and against the apportion-
ment of the State Roads Fund between Prince George's and
Anne Arundel counties, with a series of questions to be pro-
posed to the members of the Senate as to which is the better
route which can be more cheaply constructed than the other,
between the capital of Maryland and the capital of the United
States. [Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance. ]
Also a petition of C. E. Stonebraker, 2105 Callow avenue,
Baltimore city, opposing the Bill providing for moving-picture
censorship. [Which was read and referred to the Committee
on Judicial Proceedings. ]
Also a petition of J. Frank Turner, president; William
Boucher, Sr., vice-president; Edwin W. Adams, corresponding
secretary; Fillmore Cook, recording secretary; G. E. Purnell
Truitt, treasurer; North Baltimore Business Men's Associa-
tion of Baltimore city, and one hundred others, protesting
against the location of the Fourth Regiment Armory at the
northeast corner of Maryland and North avenues. The Asso-
ciation does not protest against a new armory for the Fourth
Regiment, but it does emphatically protest against the loca-
tion at this site and for reasons given herein. [Which was
read and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By the President: Senate Bill No. 288, entitled "An Act to
add a new arid additional section to Article 81 of the Annota-
ted Code of Public Civil Laws of Maryland, title 'Revenue and
Taxes, ' sub-title 'Bonus Tax on Capital Stock, ' such new and
additional section to follow immediately after Section 106 of
said Article 81, to be known as Section 106-A, and to read as
follows. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]
By Mr. Zihlman: Senate Bill No. 289, entitled "An Act to
add one new section to Chapter 463 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the Session of 1912, con-
cerning the retirement from regular duty of public school
teachers in Allegany county, and providing salaries for teach-
ers retired, to follow next after Section 19 of said Chapter
463 of said Acts of 1912, and to be numbered Section 19-A. "
