INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

By the President, by request: Senate Bill No. 173, entitled
"An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
768-A of Article 4 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
'City of Baltimore, ' sub-title 'Matrons at the Station Houses, '

as enacted by Chapter 59 of the Acts of 1912. " [Which was
read the first time and referred to the City Senators. ]

By Mr. Bennett: Senate Bill No. 174, entitled "An Act to
regulate license fees and the operation of motor vehicles to be
used in the public transportation of passengers for hire, oper-
ating in whole or in part beyond the limits of incorporated
towns and cities in the State of Maryland over State, roads
or State-aided roads, to provide for the disposition of such
fees and for penalties for the violation of this Act. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Fi-
nance. ]

By Mr. Legg: Senate Bill No. 175, entitled "An Act to
authorize and direct the State Roads Commission of Mary-
land to build and maintain a concrete bridge of about thirty
feet span with bascule draw sixty feet wide, between Kent
and Queen Anne's counties, at Chestertown, and to make an
appropriation therefor. " [Which was read the first time and
referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Legg, Senate Bill No. 176, entitled "An Act to au-
thorize the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's county
to pay Joshua P. Chance an annual pension of fifty ($50) dol-
lars, and to levy said amount on the assessable property of
said county, " [Which was read the first time and referred to
Senators Legg, Collier and Cooper. ]

By Mr. Norris: Senate Bill No. 177, entitled "An Act to
grant the sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to the sale, grant and deed made and executed by
Laura Patterson et al. to the Exeter Memorial Methodist Epis-
copal Church, a body corporate, under the laws of the State
of Maryland. " [Which was. read the first time and referred to
the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

By Mr. Norris: Senate Bill No. 178, entitled "An Act to
grant the sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to the sale, grant and deed made and executed by
the Exeter Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church to the
German Lutheran Evangelical Friedens Church of Baltimore
City, a body corporate, under the laws of the State of Mary-
