200 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 11

By Mr. Cooper: Ordered, That the following named em-
ployes be added to the list of the Senate and be paid at the
per diem recommended by the Goodnow Commission and as
shown by the certificate from the Secretary of the Senate at
the dates at which they signed the test book, namely:

Miss Helen G. Wade, Halethorpe, Baltimore county, Mary-
land, as general stenographer to Committee on Corporations,
on February 2, 1916, recommended by Senator Johnson.

Miss Edna A. Schaeffer, 1132 W. Mulberry street, Baltimore
city, stenographer to Committee on Insurance and Loans,
recommended by Senator Norris, to be paid from February 2,
1916.

Rev. Julius Hofmann, Pastor of Zion Church, Baltimore,
Maryland, for thirty days beginning February 5, 1916, at the
per diem of $5. 00.

Miss Elizabeth M. Brice, Betterton, Kent county J Maryland,
general stenographer assigned to the Committee on Printed
fells and Executive Nominations, recommended by Senator
Shepherd, pay to begin February 8, 1916.

Thomas J. Wentworth, of Baltimore city, as proofreader,
pay to begin February 15, 1916, recommended by the majority
Senators' conference.

Charles M. Geyer, 1111 Myrtle avenue, Baltimore city, as
proofreader, recommended by the majority Senators' confer-
ence, pay to begin February 15, 1916.

[Which was read and adopted. ]

By the President: Ordered, That the State Printer supply
Andrew H. Mettee, librarian of the library Company of the
Baltimore Bar, with one copy of the Senate Bills and one
copy of the Senate Journals currently daily from the quota
to be supplied the Senate upon demand made at the said State
Printer's establishment in Baltimore city without cost. [Which
was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Zihlman: Ordered, That the minority Senators name
a stenographer, pay to begin from the date of appointment,
and whose duty also shall be to typewrite the Senate Calendar.
[Which was read and adopted. ]

At 11. 45 o'clock A. M. the Secretary of State appeared anil
delivered a message from the Executive.
