Mr. Collier submitted the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
January 6, 1916.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of your Hon-
orable Body, that the Senate and House of Delegates appoint
a committee of ten—five on the part of the House and five on
the part of the Senate—to wait on the Governor-elect and in-
form him of his election, and to request his attendance at the
State House in Annapolis, on Wednesday, the twelfth day of
January, 1916, at 12 o'clock noon, to qualify according to the
requirements of the Constitution and the form of government
of the State of Maryland, and to make arrangements for the
inauguration ceremonies.
We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Senators
James S. Shepherd, William J. Ogden, L. Atwood Bennett,
Richard A. Johnson and Frederick N. Zihlman.

Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have received your message proposing the appointment
of a joint committee of ten—five on the part of the House and
five on the part of the Senate—to wait on the Governor-elect
and inform him of his election and request his attendance on
Wednesday, January 12, at 12 o'clock noon, at the State
House, to qualify according to the Constitution of the State
and to make arrangements for the inaugural ceremonies, and
we concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs. Wm.
Purnell Hall, Robert E. Lee, Nelson H. Fooks, Howard Bryant
and O. S. Metzerott.
