The Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 6, 1916.

Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of your Hon-
orable Body, that the Senate and House of Delegates meet in
the hall of the House of Delegates at 2. 30 o'clock P. M. ? Janu-
ary 6, when the Speaker shall preside, and, in the presence
of both Houses, open the returns of the election for Governor
of the State, in conformity with the requirements of Article 2,
Section 3, Constitution of Maryland.

We have appointed five members as a committee to escort
your Honorable Body to the hall of the House of Delegates
for the purpose aforesaid.

We have appointed Messrs. McIntosh, Hall, Atwell, Mitchell
and Shartzer.

Mr. Norris submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 6, 1916.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message proposing that the Senate
shall meet the House of Delegates in the hall of the House
of Delegates at 2. 30 o'clock P. M., this sixth day of January,
1916, when the Speaker of the House of Delegates shall pre-
side, and, in the presence of both Houses, open the returns of
election for Governor of the State of Maryland in conformity
with the requirements of the Constitution, and we concur
therein.
