The tellers appointed by the Senate and House of Dele-
gates to count the votes cast for Treasurer of Maryland beg
leave to report that:
The votes cast by the Senate were................ 25

The votes cast by the House were.............. 101

Making in all............................. 126 votes

s Of which number Hon. John M. Dennis received.. 70 votes

And Hon. Robert F. Duer received.............. 56 votes

We therefore respectfully report that Hon. John M. Dennis,
having received the largest - number of votes, is returned by
the tellers as elected to the office of Treasurer of Maryland.

The Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
Gentlemen of the Senate: January 26, 1916.

We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of your Hon-
orable Body, that the Senate and. the House of Delegates ap-
point a joint committee of five—two on the part of the Senate
and three on the part of the House—to wait on John M.
Dennis, the Treasurer-elect, and inform him of his election.

We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs.
Bryant, Byrn and Luthardt.

Mr. Cooper submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 26, 1916.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message proposing the appointment
of a joint committee—two on the part of the Senate and three
on the part of the House—to wait upon John M. Dennis, the
Treasurer-elect, and inform him of his election, and respect-
fully concur therein.
