We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Senators
Ogden and Allen.

[Which was ready assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates. ']

The Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:

. BY THE HOUSE OP DELEGATES,
Gentlemen of the Senate: January 26, 1916.

We respectfully propose, with the concurrence of your Hon-
orable Body, to appoint a committee of five—two on the part
of the Senate and three on the part of the House—to -wait on
his Excellency, the Governor, and inform him that we have
this day elected John M. Dennis as Treasurer of the State of
Maryland, for a term of two years.

We have appointed on the part of the House, Messrs. Wil-
kinson, Fooks and Brooks.

By order: ALBERT J. ALMONEY,

[Which was read. ] Chief Clerk.
Mr. Cooper submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: January. 26, 1916.

We have received your message proposing a committee of
five—two on the part of the Senate and three on the part of the
House—to wait on his Excellency, the Governor, and inform
him that we have this day elected John M. Dennis as Treasurer
of the State of Maryland, for a term of two years, and we con-
cur therein.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Senators
Archer and Bomberger.

By order: P. WATSON WEBB,

Secretary.

[Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates. ]

At 4. 45 o'clock P. M., on motion of Mr. Cooper, the Senate
adjourned until Thursday, January 27, at 12 o'clock noon.
