whether spirituous or fermented liquors shall not be sold in
said county, or shall be sold only as hereinafter described,
and to repeal all Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with this
Act, or any * part of this Act. ' "

Mr. Joy, from Select Committee,, reported favorably Senate
Bill No. 37, entitled "An Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Calvert County, Maryland, to levy a sum of
money to build a schoolhouse for colored children on or near
Back Creek, in Election District No. 1. "

The President laid before the Senate laid-over Bill, with
amendments, being Senate Bill No. 27, entitled "An Act to
authorize the President and Commissioners of Chesapeake
City, Maryland, to issue bonds to pay off the present indebted-
ness of said town, growing out of a suit of Mrs. Josephine
Pryor and others, and to pay for improvements hereafter to
be made in and to the said town of Chesapeake City at the
direction of the said the President and Commissioners of said
town. "
