tody to which he or she may have been committed. " [En-

Also House Bill No. 448, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments, Sections 6, 7, '8, and 14 of Chapter
160 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1902,
entitled 'An Act to create and establish the State Board of
Undertakers of Maryland, and to prescribe the powers and
duties of the said Board, ' and to repeal and re-enact said sec-
tions in so far as the same have been amended by Chapter
389 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1904,
by Chapter 496 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1908, by Chapter 399 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1910, by Chapter 444 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1910, and in so far as
the said sections have been amended by Sections 230 to 247
of Article 43 of Bagby's Annotated Code of Maryland, title
'Health, ' sub-title 'Undertakers'; the effect of the amendments
now being made. being to require undertakers to obtain licenses
from the State Board, to provide for the registration of em-
ployes of undertakers, to prescribe the duties of the State
Board of Undertakers, to fix the fees of registration and to
make the Act State-wide in its application. " [Endorsed:
"Read the third time and passed by yeas and nays. ''] [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings. ]

Also House Bill No. 642, entitled "An Act to provide a
cheaper and simpler method of filing and indexing chattel
mortgages than that heretofore practiced in this State, so that
chattel mortgages may be recorded and indexed as hereto-
fore or in lieu thereof, when desired, may be filed and indexed
as provided herein, by repealing Section 48 of Article 21 of
the Code of General Laws and re-enacting the same, with
amendments, and adding to said Article 3 new Sections 48-A,
48-B and 48-C; respectively, " [Endorsed: "Read the third time
and passed by yeas and nays"] [Which was read the first
time and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

Also House Bill No. 774, entitled "An Act providing for,
directing and requiring the purchase and acquisition by the
County Commissioners of Frederick county on behalf of and
for said county, of the Stone Arch Bridge over the Monocacy
