27, 1916, as "Jewish Relief Day" in the State of Maryland,
and I earnestly urge the people of the State to so devote this
day to the end that succor and relief may be brought to those
now suffering from the conditions brought about by the war
now being waged by the countries of Europe.

ORDERS.

By Mr. Allen:

Ordered, That Senator Zihlman be and he is hereby excused
from the session of January 26, 1916, on account of impor-
tant business. [Which was read and adopted. ]

By Mr. Ogden:

Ordered, That Bills introduced for the purpose of sanction-
ing bequests, after title being journalized and entered on the
Secretary's record of Senate Bills, be referred to the Committee
on Judicial Proceedings without being first printed, unless for
special reasons, to be stated by the Senator introducing the
same, and that all Bills for sanctioning of bequests be printed
before "the end of the session in one omnibus bequest Bill.
[Which was read and adopted. ]

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.

Senate Bill No. 54, entitled "An Act to declare the sanction
and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland to certain,
bequests contained in the last will and testament of Ephraim
F. Baldwin, deceased. "
