tion REGISTRATION of Class A passenger or pleasure type motor
vehicles, as provided for in this section; and, it shall receive and
account for the fees set forth in this section to the same extent as
in the case of each county treasurer under this section.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health and safety, and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 4
(House Bill 274)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 528 of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", re-
Ming to the operation of bowling alleys, tenpin alleys, or duck-
pin alleys in Wicomico County on Sunday.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 528 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Sabbath
Breaking", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

528.

Nothing contained in Sections 492 and 522 of this article shall be
construed to prohibit or make unlawful the exhibition within Wicom-
ico County of baseball and motion pictures between the hours of 1:00
P.M. and 7:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. and midnight, or the operation
within Wicomico County of any bowling alley, tenpin alley, or duck-
pin alley between the hours of 2:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. and 9:00
P.M. and midnight,
on the first day of the week, commonly called
Sunday, whether the same be exhibited with or without a charge or
admission fee; provided, however, that all baseball and motion pic-
tures exhibited and all bowling alleys, tenpin alleys, or duckpin alleys
operated
shall be subject to all provisions of law relating to licensing
and censorship applicable to baseball and motion picture exhibitions
and to bowling alley, tenpin alley, or duckpin alley operations on
week days. The work or employment of any operator, ticket seller
or any other employees or attendants in connection with any such
exhibition of baseball and motion pictures or any such operation of a
bowling alley, tenpin alley, or duckpin alley
shall not be unlawful be-
cause performed on Sundays. Any exhibition of motion pictures
