CHAPTER 86
(Senate Bill 149)

AN ACT to repeal Section 336 of Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester Coun-
ty", sub-title "State's Attorney", repealing an obsolete local law
concerning the collection and disposition of appearance fees and
costs in criminal cases in Worcester County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 336 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title
"State's Attorney", be and the same is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

Approved February 27, 1961.

CHAPTER 87
(Senate Bill 150)

AN ACT to repeal Section 340 of Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County",
sub-title "Trespass", this section concerning the distribution of
fines for a statute in Worcester County concerning trespassing,
said section being obsolete and unnecessary.

Whereas, In Section 340 of the local laws of Worcester County
it is provided that fines collected by a justice of the peace for the
violation of a statute on trespassing shall be paid to the County
School Commissioners; and

Whereas, Since the public schools now are supported from the
general funds of the County, it is unnecessary to continue this special
fund for school purposes; and

Whereas, The distribution of fines collected by justices of the
peace is adequately covered in Article 52 of the Annotated Code; now,
therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 340 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Tres-
pass", be and it is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

Approved February 27, 1961.
