of Dorchester County concerning the list of witnesses together
with their respective residences, who appear before certain offi-
cials of Dorchester County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 578 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title "Wit-
nesses", be and it is hereby repealed, as follows:
[578. The sheriff of Dorchester County shall return to the clerk
of the circuit court, or county commissioners, or register of wills, as
the case may be, the distance each witness summoned by him resides
from the place of holding said court, and the clerk or register shall
return a list of said witnesses, with the distance of their respective
residences, to the county commissioners of Dorchester County]
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to repeal Section 335 of Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County",
sub-title "State's Attorney", as said section was last amended by
Chapter 430 of the Acts of 1943, repealing an obsolete and unnec-
essary statute concerning the salary of the State's Attorney of
Worcester County.
Whereas, In Section 335 of the local laws of Worcester County,
as last amended by Chapter 430 of the Acts of 1943, there are pro-
visions concerning the compensation of the State's Attorney for
Worcester County; and
Whereas, These provisions now are obsolete and unnecessary,
having been entirely superseded by Section 40 of Article 10 in the
1957 Edition of the Annotated Code; now, therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 335 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "State's
Attorney", be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
