and Cecil [, and Calvert] counties shall receive the sum of ten dollars
($10.00) for every day's attendance upon the sessions of said court.
The judges of the Orphans' Court for Cecil County shall receive an
allowance for traveling expenses of two hundred and fifty dollars
($250.00) per year, to be paid quarterly by the County Commissioners
of Cecil County. [the judges of the Orphans Court of Calvert County
shall receive an allowance for traveling expenses of one hundred and
fifty dollars ($150.00) per year to be paid quarterly by the County
Commissioners of Calvert County] and the judges of the Orphans'
Court of Anne Arundel County shall receive an allowance of six
dollars ($6.00) for mileage for every day's attendance upon the
sessions of said court.
(u) Each of the Judges of the Orphans' Court for Calvert County
shall receive as annual compensation the sum of five hundred dollars
($500.00).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this Act
shall not be construed to extend or apply to the Orphans' Court Judges
in office on the effective date hereof, but they shall take effect with
the next term of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 480)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 51 (i)
of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "County Commissioners', sub-title "County Treasurers", to
change the salary and compensation of the County Treasurer of
Wicomico County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 51 (i) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "County
Treasurers", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
51.
(i). The county treasurer of Wicomico County shall receive an
annual salary of [$4,000.00] $5,000.00 and in addition thereto shall
receive an annual sum of $1,000.00 to be paid by the Wicomico County
Roads Board. He shall devote his entire time to the duties of his
office and shall keep his office open for the transaction of business
