(House Bill 358)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 196(a)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Birds, Game and Inland Water
Fish", sub-heading "Deer", to change the time for reporting deer
kills to designated checking stations.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 196(a) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Birds,
Game and Inland Water Fish", sub-heading "Deer", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
196(a).
It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt, pursue, kill, or have in
possession, any deer within the State of Maryland at any time;
however, it shall be lawful to hunt, pursue, or have in possession
any deer, provided same was killed during the lawful open season.
No person shall kill, or attempt to kill, a second deer in any one
season, or have in possession more than one deer killed in this State
during any one year. Every person killing a deer found in wild
state, shall report to a designated checking station with said kill [as
soon as possible and practicable, but in no event later than the last
day of the open season for killing deer] within twenty-four (24) hours
thereafter.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
JUNE 1, 1961.

(House Bill 363)
AN ACT to repeal Section 178(e) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-
title "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish", sub-heading "Raccoon,
Opossum and Skunks", to repeal provisions relating to the keeping
of skunks in Washington County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 178(e) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources", sub-title "Birds,
Game and Inland Water Fish", sub-heading "Raccoon, Opossum and
Skunks", be and it is hereby repealed.
