district three days in each year to collect and receive taxes [, and he
shall give at least two weeks' notice of the time and place of such
visits to the respective districts by hand bills and post the same con-
spicuously in not less than three public places in such election district
of said county, and by advertising in two newspapers published in
Worcester County, and said notice and advertisement shall contain
a brief statement of the discounts allowed and interest charged on
tax bills].

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 68
(Senate Bill 137)

AN ACT to repeal Section 269 of Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County",
sub-title "Revenue and Taxes", repealing an obsolete local law con-
cerning the compensation of the Treasurer of Worcester County.

Whereas, Section 269 of the local laws of Worcester County fixes
the compensation of the Treasurer of the county; and

Whereas, This section is obsolete since the compensation of the
Treasurer now is set in Section 51 of Article 25 of the Code; now,
therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 269 of Article 24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County", sub-title "Rev-
enue and Taxes", be and it is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

Approved February 27, 1961.

CHAPTER 69

(Senate Bill 140)

AN ACT to repeal Section 275 of Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County",
sub-title "Revenue and Taxes", repealing an obsolete law concern-
ing the County Treasurer of Worcester County during the years
1915 and 1916.
