of Calvert County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of County Commissioners of Calvert County is au-
thorized to contract for and to levy and appropriate for preliminary
editorial work on the 1963 edition of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Calvert County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 395

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 34 of
Article 73B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supple-
ment) , title "Pensions", sub-title "Transfers Between Retirement
Systems", to permit persons to transfer between actuarial based
pension systems in the State upon paying into their present sys-
tems certain contributions within a specified time.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 34 of Article 73B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1960 Supplement), title "Pensions", sub-title "Transfers Between
Retirement Systems", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
34. Notwithstanding anything in Sections 31 and 32 of this sub-
title to the contrary, a member of one of such retirement systems on
June 1,1947, who was a member of another such system immediately
prior to entering his present system, or who was in a service subse-
quently covered by such a system, may effect such a transfer pro-
vided he deposits the amount of the contributions paid or payable
to him from such other retirement system, if any, prior to the expira-
tion of three months following June 1, [1959] 1961. To qualify under
the terms and conditions of this section, such members shall exhibit
such data and information to the administrative head of the system
to which he was transferred as may be required by the rules and
regulations of said system or the administrative head thereof.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
