(Senate Bill 190)

AN ACT to repeal Section 700 (k) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement), title "Natural Resources",
sub-title "Oysters and Clams", and to enact a new Section 700 (k)
in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section so repealed,
re-enacting the law concerning patent tonging for oysters in certain
waters of this State in order to restore thereto a reference to
Wicomico County which was inadvertently omitted at the time of
the preparation and enactment of the last amendment to this
section in Chapter 605 of the Acts of 1959.

Whereas, in Chapter 605 of the Acts of 1959 which amended
Section 700 (k) of Article 66C of the Code, all relating to patent
tonging for oysters in certain waters of this State, there was an
inadvertent omission of a reference to Wicomico County; and

Whereas, it is clear from the fact there is no reference to Wicomico
County in the title of Chapter 605 of 1959, there was no change in
the law concerning Wicomico County; and

Whereas, at the same time it is desirable to correct the 1960
Supplement to the Code so that it will contain the true and proper
language with respect to the laws on the subject of patent tonging;
now therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 700 (k) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1960 Supplement), title "Natural Resources", sub-title
"Oysters and Clams", be and it is hereby repealed, and that new
Section 700 (k) be and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand
in the place of the section so repealed, and to read as follows:
