until any fine assessed by the Court be paid in full. It shall be the
duty of the Commission of Tidewater Fisheries and its Deputy Com-
manders and Inspectors to seize any and all hard shell clams that
may be caught in violation of any provisions in this sub-section, to
be disposed of at the discretion of the Commission to the best inter-
ests of the State.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 339

(Senate Bill 432)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 48 of
Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement),
title "Courts", sub-title "Salaries of Judges", relating to additional
compensation for the judges of the Fourth Judicial Circuit.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 48 of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1960 Supplement), title "Courts", sub-title "Salaries of Judges",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

48.

The County Commissioners of Allegany County are hereby author-
ized and directed to pay to the judge EACH OF THE JUDGES of
the Circuit Court for Allegany County an amount which, in the
aggregate, FOR EACH JUDGE shall equal the sum of four thousand
five hundred dollars ($4,500.00) annually. The County Commis-
sioners of Washington County are hereby authorized and directed
to pay to the judge EACH OF THE JUDGES of the Circuit Court
for Washington County an amount which, in the aggregate, FOR
EACH JUDGE shall equal the sum of four thousand five hundred
dollars ($4,500.00) annually. The county commissioners of Allegany,
Garrett and Washington counties are hereby authorized and directed
to pay to the [judges] judge of the circuit [courts] court for Garrett
[and Washington counties] county an amount which, in the aggre-
gate, shall equal the sum of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) annu-
ally [for each judge]. They shall be so divided that the county com-
missioners of Allegany County shall pay the sum of three thousand
four hundred dollars ($3,400.00) annually to the judge EACH OF
THE JUDGES of the Circuit Court for Allegany County; the county
commissioners of Washington County shall pay the sum of three
thousand four hundred dollars ($3,400.00) annually to the judge
EACH OF THE JUDGES of the Circuit Court for Washington
County; the county commissioners of Allegany and Washington
