of the Acts of 1941, be and they are hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 32
(Senate Bill 48)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 283 and 289 of Article 10 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorches-
ter County", sub-title "Elections", Section 283 thereof having been
last amended by Chapter 569 of the Acts of 1941, repealing obso-
lete local laws of Dorchester County which concern the compensa-
tion of various election officials and employees, and which also
concern the election laws to be applicable in Dorchester County.

Whereas, Section 283 of the local laws of Dorchester County
concerns the compensation of various election officials and employees,
this section having been last amended by Chapter 569 of the Acts of
1941; and

Whereas, Section 289 of the local laws relates to the election laws
that are applicable in Dorchester County; and

Whereas, Both these sections are clearly obsolete and have no
further application under the present election laws as found in
Article 33 of the Annotated Code; now, therefore,

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 283 and 289 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-
title "Elections", Section 283 thereof having been last amended by
Chapter 569 of the Acts of 1941, be and they are hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1961.
