CHAPTER 251
(House Bill 502)

AN ACT to repeal Section 140 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Cecil County (1953 Edition), being Article 8 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Cecil County", sub-title "Elections",
repealing a section of the local laws of Cecil County, concerning the
compensation of judges and clerks of election, this section being
obsolete by reason of later enactments in Article 33 of the An-
notated Code.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 140 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County
(1953 Edition), being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Cecil County", sub-title "Elections", be and it is
hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1961.

CHAPTER 252

(House Bill 503)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 387 (b) of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County (1953 Edition),
being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Cecil County", sub-title "Taxicabs", correcting an error in the
local laws of Cecil County having to do with the operation and
regulation of taxicabs.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 387 (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil
County (1953 Edition), being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Cecil County", sub-title "Taxicabs", be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as
follows:

387 (b) The said County Commissioners of Cecil County are further
empowered and authorized to make such rules and regulations, in-
