JULY 1953 1961 [,] , plus reimbursement for expenses. The county
commissioners of Caroline, [Cecil,] Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot
counties shall EACH pay one thousand [two] five hundred dollars
[($1,200.00)] ($1,500.00) towards their THE sum for the salary of
the stenographer serving in the courts of the second judicial circuit
located in said counties.
Said payments shall be made in quarterly
installments from the first day of July, 1953 1961. The county com-
missioners of Cecil County shall pay the salary of the stenographer
serving in the courts of the second judicial circuit located in Cecil
County. The Boards of County Commissioners which are liable for
the payment of said salaries have the authority to increase said
salaries in their discretion.
The sum of not less than six thousand
dollars ($6,000.00) per year shall [constitute salary and] be supple-
mented by
reimbursements for traveling and other expenses.

The stenographers appointed under this subtitle shall serve for one
year, and shall be removed at any time for cause, and shall perform
such duties as may be imposed upon [him] them by such judges of
said court, or any of them.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June JULY 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 250
(House Bill 501)

AN ACT to legalize the 1961 Edition of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Cecil County, being Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, compiled and edited by Carl N. Everstine.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the 1961 Edition of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil
County, being Article 8 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, com-
piled and edited by Carl N. Everstine, is legalized. The Code shall
be deemed and taken in all courts of the State, by all justices of the
peace and trial magistrates of the State and by all other public officials
of the State and of its several political subdivisions, to be evidence of
the Public Local Laws of Cecil County in existence at the time of
compilation. The Code shall contain all public local laws of Cecil
County in effect at the completion of the 1961 regular session of the
General Assembly of Maryland; and it shall contain the charters
of the several municipal corporations within Cecil County as in effect
on April 1, 1961.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Commissioners
of Cecil County may make an appropriation to provide for the pub-
lication of this Code and they may further provide for its sale and
distribution. They shall provide copies free of charge for each mem-
ber of the Board of County Commissioners, the Bar Library of Cecil
County, and each member of the Cecil County Delegation in the
General Assembly of Maryland.
