Whereas, The local laws should be amended in order to remove
these incorrect references to the traveling and other expenses of the
State's Attorney and of the Sheriff; now, therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 150A of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title "Coun-
ty Commissioners and Treasurer", as said section was enacted by
Chapter 527 of the Acts of 1947, be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:
150A. The Board of County Commissioners of Dorchester County
is hereby authorized and empowered to fix and prescribe the salary
or compensation of all appointed officers and employees of the county
whose salaries or compensation are provided for in the annual levy
and budget of said county unless fixed by Public General Laws. [The]
Except as otherwise provided by law, the said County Commissioners
shall also have the power to prescribe and provide for the traveling
and other expenses of [the State's Attorney, Sheriff and] all [other]
elected and appointed officers and employees of the county incurred
in the performance of their duties and the amount to be allowed for
the cost of food, supplies and other expenses of the several offices
and departments of the county.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 20
(Senate Bill 33)
AN ACT to repeal Section 155 of Article 10 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester Coun-
ty", sub-title "County Commissioners and Treasurer", repealing an
obsolete local law of Dorchester County, which was enacted in
1922, concerning the issue of certain refunding notes.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 155 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title
"County Commissioners and Treasurer", be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
