tion was enacted by Chapter 280 of the Acts of 1953, repealing a
local law of Dorchester County concerning the recordation of
deeds or conveyances of real estate and transfers of property upon
the assessment books, said section being unnecessary because of
provisions in the statewide laws.
Whereas, In Chapter 280 of the Acts of 1953, which added a new
Section 141A to the local laws of Dorchester County and their pro-
visions for the recordation of deeds or conveyances of real estate and
a requirement that the property being conveyed first be transferred
on the assessment books; and
Whereas, This local law is unnecessary because of the provisions
of Section 10 of Article 21 in the Annotated Code; now, therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 141A of Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title "Cir-
cuit Court", sub-heading "Indexes", as said section was enacted by
Chapter 280 of the Acts of 1953, be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 150A of
Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Dorchester County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners and Treasurer", as said section was enacted by Chapter
527 of the Acts of 1947, amending the local laws of Dorchester
County in order to remove certain incorrect references to the pay-
ment of traveling and other expenses of the State's Attorney and
of the Sheriff.
Whereas, Section 150A of the local laws of Dorchester County
as enacted by Chapter 527 of the Acts of 1947, makes provision for
paying the traveling and other expenses of the State's Attorney and
of the Sheriff; and
Whereas, This subject for the State's Attorney now is covered by
Section 40 of Article 10 in the Annotated Code, while the same sub-
ject for the Sheriff now is covered in Section 37 of Article 87 of the
Code; and
