seventy-five hundred dollars per annum; the salary of each of the
associate judges shall be [six] seven thousand dollars per annum;
to be paid by the county council, who is hereby authorized and directed
to levy to pay such salaries or such additional salaries as they may
determine.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 880
(House Bill 936)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 192A of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition,
being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Circuit Court", sub-title "Salary of Judges", increasing the
local supplementation of salary for the Judge OR JUDGES of the
Circuit Court for the Third Judicial Circuit who resides RESIDE
in Harford County and who is not a Judge of the Court of Appeals.
and making provisions for a contingency under which this Act
shall be null and void and of no effect.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 192A of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
County (1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Circuit Court", sub-title "Salary of Judges",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

192A. The County Commissioners of Harford County be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to pay to the Judge OR JUDGES
of the Circuit Court for the Third Judicial Circuit who resides RE-
SIDE in Harford County and who is not a judge of the Court of Ap-
peals, the sum of [twenty-five] forty-five hundred dollars annually
in addition to the salary received by said judge from the State of
Maryland, said payments to be made from and after June 1, 1959,
in equal monthly installments, and the said County Commissioners
are hereby authorized and directed to levy upon the assessable prop-
erty of the said county a tax sufficient to pay the aforesaid amounts.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That in the event there is enacted
by the General Assembly of Maryland at its 1961 Session Chapter
(either Senate Bill 412 or House Bill 594) for an additional salary for

judges of the Circuit Courts in the several counties of Maryland, this

Act shall be null and void and of not further effect whatever.
