(2) The State's Attorney's allowance for office expenses, includ-
ing stationery, postage, premium on official bond, and clerical serv-
ices, is two thousand dollars ($2,000).
(x) Worcester County.—In Worcester County, (1) the State's
Attorney's salary is five thousand dollars ($5,000).
(2) The State's Attorney's allowance for expenses incurred in
the performance of the official duties of his office is not to exceed
three thousand dollars ($3,000) FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS
($4,000). He shall receive payments from this allowance on vouchers
submitted to and approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
(y) Disposition of fees.—The State's Attorney in any county shall
not receive any other compensation, commission or emolument of
any kind for performing his duties as State's Attorney, except his
necessary traveling and other expenses in trying cases removed to
Baltimore City or to another county. Any fees to which he is en-
titled shall be collected and paid over to the board of county com-
missioners or county council of his county and credited to the gen-
eral funds of the county.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That Sections 2-8 and 2-10 of
the Baltimore County Code (1958 Edition and 1960 Supplement),
title "Baltimore County", being under "Title 2. Administration",
and under the subheading "Article III. State's Attorney" be and
they are hereby repealed; and that Section 2-11 of said Baltimore
County Code, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
2-11. Oath of assistants, etc.
Any clerk or other employee appointed by the state's attorney
[under the provisions of Section 2-8 of this Code], and the assist-
ant state's attorneys, shall, before entering upon the duties of their
offices, take and subscribe before a judge or the clerk of the circuit
court for the county, an oath that he or she, as the case may be,
will keep secret all matters and things pertaining to the state's
attorney's office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That Section 448 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Kent County (1959 Edition, being Article
15 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Kent County",
sub-title "State's Attorney", be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THE IN-
CREASE IN SALARY HEREIN PROVIDED FOR THE STATE'S
ATTORNEY OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY SHALL FIRST
TAKE EFFECT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TERM OF THE
STATE'S ATTORNEY WHO IS ELECTED TO THAT POSITION
IN THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER, 1962; AND, UNTIL THE BE-
GINNING OF THE TERM OF THE STATE'S ATTORNEY WHO
IS ELECTED TO THAT POSITION IN THE MONTH OF NOVEM-
BER, 1962, THE STATE'S ATTORNEY WHO IS IN OFFICE ON
JUNE 1, 1961, FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TERM IN WHICH
HE THEN IS SERVING SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY
OF SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($7,000) AND, IN ADDI-
TION, AN ANNUAL ALLOWANCE FOR EXPENSES OF TWEN-
TY-FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,500).
