AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 651 (a)
of the Code of Public Laws of Prince George's County (1953
Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), as amended by Chapter 811 of the Acts of 1957, titled
"Prince George's County", sub-titled "Fire Companies", relating
to the fire tax rate in a certain portion of the 17th Election District
of Prince George's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 651 (a) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of the
Public LOCAL Laws of Maryland), as amended by Chapter 811 of
the Acts of 1957, entitled "Prince George's County", sub-title "Fire
Companies", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

651. (a) There shall be levied and assessed an annual fire tax in
the amount of [eight] Ten Cents upon each One Hundred Dollars of
the assessed valuation of the real and personal property within that
portion of the 17th (Chillum) Election District, as constituted on
January 1, 1953, bounded by New Hampshire Avenue, the south side
of Ethan Allen Avenue, the Takoma Park City boundary line, and the
District of Columbia-Maryland State line, but not including property
within any incorporated area.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 655 (a)
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953
Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Fire Com-
panies", and to add new Section 656 (o) thereto, to follow im-
mediately after Section 656 (n) thereof, Section 655 (a) having
been last amended by Chapter 686 of the Acts of 1957, which
chapter also added Section 656 (n) thereto, to levy a fire tax in
the 15th (Mellwood) Election District of Prince George's County
and to provide for disposition of the proceeds of the tax.
