(Senate Bill 296)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 155 (v)
and 159 (h) (6) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1960 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-titles "Boards of License Commissioners" and "County Liquor
Control Boards and Dispensaries", providing for increases in the
compensation of the members of the Board of License Commis-
sioners and the members of the Liquor Control Board of Wicomico
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 155 (v) and 159 (h) (6) of Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1960 Supplement), title "Al-
coholic Beverages", sub-titles "Boards of License Commissioners"
and "County Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries", be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
155.
(v) In Wicomico County, the chairman of the board of license
commissioners shall receive as compensation, the sum of [five
hundred dollars ($500.00)] one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per
year. Each of the other two members shall receive as compensation,
the sum of [four hundred dollars ($400.00)] seven hundred dollars
($700.00) per year.

(6) Five dollars per day for every day devoted to the duties of the
board, but not exceeding [five] seven hundred dollars per annum,
and [in addition thereto] a salary of [two] three hundred dollars
per annum for the chairman of the board, in addition to and over
and above such compensation prescribed herein for members of the
said board.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
