shall not exceed the difference between these two sums. Any such
pension may be paid only upon application therefor, and the County
Commissioners shall annually levy such sum as necessary to make
all these payments. The pension payments shall not be made to any
particular person for a period longer than ten (10)
# years, and they
shall be discontinued immediately upon the remarriage of any such
widow.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 155
(Senate Bill 274)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 165 (g)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "County Liquor Control
Boards and Dispensaries", amending the alcoholic beverage laws in
order to increase the maximum reserve fund which may be created
and maintained by the Liquor Control Board of Wicomico County
and correcting an error in said section.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 165 (g) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "County
Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

165 (g) All net profits arising from the operation of said dispensary
or branch dispensaries shall be first applied towards the payment
of any and all sums advanced to or borrowed by the liquor control
board. After such sums have been paid, the said board shall be
authorized to create and maintain a reserve fund not to exceed
[$75,000.00] $100,000.00, including the total inventory of stock and
supplies on hand, to provide adequate working capital and to meet
any losses that may be sustained by the board in the operation of
such dispensaries. All net profits in excess of the above shall belong
to and be paid over to the County Commissioners of Wicomico
County [on] at such times as the Wicomico County liquor control
board shall, in their discretion, deem appropriate, but all accumulated
profits, if any, must be paid to said County Commissioners on Feb-
ruary 1, and September 1, in each and every year.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
