days notice to the licensee, served by registered mail to the addressee
only, or by personal service by the Commission or its duly authorized
officers.
(2) All violations of this section by resident licensees, or by
others residing in Queen Anne's County, shall be tried by the trial
magistrate for Queen Anne's County, anything to the contrary in
this article notwithstanding; but nothing herein contained shall deny
to any defendant the right to waive the jurisdiction of such trial
magistrate, or to appeal to the Circuit Court for Queen Anne's
County from any ruling, decision or finding of such trial magistrate.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1961.

AN ACT to add a new Section 9-65.1 to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Anne Arundel County (1957 Edition, being Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Finances "CHAPTER 9. FINANCE and Taxa-
tion", to follow immediately after Section 9-65 thereof authoriz-
ing the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County to pay a
pension to the widows of certain former county employees and
relating generally to the conditions and provisions applicable to
the payment of any such pensions.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 9-65.1 be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1957 Edition, being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "Finances "CHAPTER 9, FINANCE and
Taxation", to follow immediately after Section 9-65 thereof, and
to read as follows:
9-65.1
The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County may pay a
pension to the widow of any former county employee who had been
employed by the county for not less than twenty-five (25) years, in
an amount not exceeding one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125)
each month. In the case of any such widow who is receiving Social
Security or retirement benefits or payments under the provisions
of any State or Federal law, the monthly aggregate amount of such
benefits or payments shall be deducted from one hundred and twenty-
five dollars ($125), and the monthly payment from the county then
