(House Bill 278)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 (c) of
Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1960 Supplement),
title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Civil Jurisdiction", and to
add new Section 6 (o) thereto, to follow immediately after Section
6 (n), providing that the trial magistrates in Carroll County shall
have jurisdiction in certain cases which involve amounts not
exceeding $750.00.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 (c) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1960 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Civil
Jurisdiction", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, and that new Section 6 (o) be and it is hereby added
thereto, to follow immediately after Section 6 (n), and all to read
as follows:

(c) In all cases of the types mentioned in subsection (a) of this
section which involve amounts not exceeding $300.00, trial magis-
trates of Calvert [, Carroll] and Frederick counties shall have civil
jurisdiction.
(o) Trial magistrates of Carroll County shall have jurisdiction in
all cases of the type mentioned in subsection (a) of this section which
involve amounts not exceeding $750.00.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

REPEAL AND RE-ENACT, WITH AMENDMENTS, SECTION

MENT); AND TO repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
51 of Article 88B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edi-
