AN ACT to repeal Section 2-8 and Section 2-10 of the Baltimore
County Code (1958 Edition and 1960 Supplement), titled "Balti-
more County", being under "Title 2. Administration" and under
the sub-heading "Article III", "State's Attorney"; and to repeal
and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2-11 of said Baltimore
County Code AND TO ADD NEW SECTION 2-9 TO THE SAID
BALTIMORE COUNTY CODE, TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY
AFTER SECTION 2-8 THEREOF; and to add new Section 40(d)
to Article 26 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Ed-
ition), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact", sub-title
"State's Attorneys", to follow immediately after Section 40 (c)
thereof, revising the laws concerning the salaries, expense accounts
and allowances for expenses for the office of State's Attorney of
Baltimore County and for the Deputy and Assistant State's At-
torney and other persons in said office.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2-8 and Section 2-10 of the Baltimore County Code
(1958 Edition and 1960 Supplement), title "Baltimore County",
being under "Title 2. Administration" and under the sub-heading
"Article III", "State's Attorney", be and they are hereby repealed;
and that Section 2-11 of said Baltimore County Code be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, "AND THAT
NEW SECTION 2-9 BE AND IT IS HEREBY ADDED TO THE
SAID BALTIMORE COUNTY CODE, TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATE-
LY AFTER SECTION 2-8 THEREOF", and that new Section 40
(d) be and is hereby added to Article M 10 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Attorneys At Law and Attorneys in
Fact", sub-title "State's Attorneys", to follow immediately after
Section 40 (c) thereof, all to read as follows:
2-9. IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF THE STATE'S ATTORNEY
OF THE COUNTY IN MAKING UP HIS ACCOUNTS AGAINST
THE COUNTY FOR ALL SUCH EXPENSES AS ARE PROPERLY
CHARGEABLE AGAINST THE COUNTY, TO STATE THE
ITEMS OF EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE PROPER DIS-
CHARGE OF HIS DUTIES AND WHICH ACCOUNTS, TO-
GETHER WITH THE AFFIDAVIT OF THE STATE'S AT-
TORNEY OF THE COUNTY AS TO THE CORRECTNESS
THEREOF, AND THE FAIRNESS OF THE CHARGES THERE-
IN MADE, SHALL BE SUBMITTED BY THE STATE'S AT-
TORNEY TO THE COUNTY. IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF THE
