in Anne Arundel County which is devoted to the study of history
or the maintenance and preservation of historic homes and places;
and any property in Cecil County owned by the Society for the
Preservation of Maryland Antiquities, Inc., Chester County Council
Boy Scouts of America, and Friends of the Library of Cecil County,
Maryland, Inc.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

CHAPTER 150
(Senate Bill 288)
AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Treasurer of Wicomico
County to pay over to the County Commissioners of the County,
to be credited to the general funds of the county, certain monies
in the Treasurer's custody and control, which are part of the
proceeds of tax sales made pursuant to the public local laws of
Wicomico County, and relating generally to the procedure and
conditions for such payments.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Treasurer of Wicomico County is authorized and
directed to pay over to the County Commissioners of the County,
to be credited to the general funds of the County, all monies in his
custody and control which are part of the proceeds of tax sales made
prior to April 10, 1957, pursuant to the public local laws of Wicomico
County for the collection of delinquent taxes due to the County
Commissioners. This Act applies only to tax sale funds for which no
claim has been filed with the county treasurer as of June 1,1961; and
prior to paying over any such monies to the County Commissioners,
the County Treasurer shall apply and exhaust the procedures con-
tained in Section 82 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), as it may be amended from time to time.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(Senate Bill 299)
AN ACT to add new Section 104 (h) to Article 52 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Justices of the Peace",
sub-title "Trial Magistrates System", to follow immediately after
Section 104 (g) thereof, relating generally to costs in certain
criminal cases before a justice of the peace or trial magistrate in
Baltimore County.
