Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect

CHAPTER 789
(House Bill 833)
AN ACT authorizing the County Commissioners of Allegany County
to sell and convey any county real property for the construction
of a hospital when it is determined that said property is no longer
needed for county purposes EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF A
CEMETERY OR BURIAL GROUND.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Allegany County are hereby au-
thorized and empowered to sell and convey for a fair and reasonable
sum to any person, firm or corporation any county real property or
part thereof for the purpose of constructing, operating and main-
taining thereon a hospital and any other building OR FACILITY re-
lated to the operation thereof, including but not limited to a, nursing
home AND PARKING LOT provided, however, that said county
commissioners shall first determine that said real property is no longer
needed for county purposes, AND PROVIDED FURTHER THAT
NOTHING HEREIN SHALL APPLY TO ANY COUNTY REAL
PROPERTY NOW BEING USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
CEMETERY OR BURIAL GROUND.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That all laws or parts of laws,
public general or public local, inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act are hereby repealed to the extent of any such inconsistency.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.
