and County Commissioners of Prince George's County, a tax rate,
in addition to that required for its interest, serial bonds and sinking
fund requirements, that will, when levied and collected under the
provisions of Section 1568 (Section 74-33, Montgomery County Code)
of this sub-title, produce an amount sufficient to satisfy said judg-
ment or other sum including costs and counsel fees, if any, provided,
however, that this provision shall relate only to any cause of action
occurring subsequent to April 26, 1927. Whenever it shall be deemed
necessary by said Commission to take or acquire any land, structures
or buildings, or any stream bed, water way, water rights, or water
shed, either in fee or as an easement, within or without the Sanitary
District, for the construction, extension or maintenance of any water
main, sewer, or appurtenance [thereof] of such main or sewer, or
for any sewage disposal plant, reservoir, water purification plant,
tank or pumping station, or for the construction, extension or mainte-
nance of any project it may deem necessary for carrying out the pro-
visions of this sub-title,
said Commission may purchase the same
from the owners or failing to agree with the owner or owners
thereof, may condemn the same by proceedings in the Circuit Court
for the County in which said land, structures or buildings, stream
bed, water way, water rights, or water shed are situated, as now
provided for condemnation of land under Article 33A of the Public
General Laws of Maryland, [ except that land used for cemetery pur-
poses may not be condemned,] and in the case of land used for
cemetery purposes, either public or private, said land or an easement
therein may be condemned provided the land or
easement sought to
be acquired by the Commission does not disturb an existing grave,
grave marker or
monument,
and said Commission may likewise con-
demn the interest of any tenant, lessee or other person having an
interest in said land, structure or buildings, stream bed, water way,
water right or water shed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 615)

AN ACT to amend the sub-title of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Washington County providing for Sanitary Districts in said County,
this Act relating especially to the creation of the Washington Coun-
ty Sanitary District, the creation of sub-districts under its jurisdic-
tion and the exercise and discharge by said District of certain
powers and duties therein; specifically repealing and re-enacting
with amendments the following Sections of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Washington County (1957 Edition, being Article 22
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title: "Washing-
ton County", sub-title: "Sanitary Districts", namely Sections 528,
531, 532(a), 532(b), 532(c), 532(j), 532(1), 532(o), 535, 536, 537,
538, 539, 540, 541, 542, 545, 547, 548, 549, 550, 551 and 552, and
repealing the following Sections of said Code and enacting in the
