in a penal sum to be set by them conditioned upon the faithful expend-
iture of funds derived hereunder.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not become
effective until it shall have been submitted to the qualified voters of
the Seventh and Eighth Election Districts of Anne Arundel County
at the general election to be held in Anne Arundel County in Novem-
ber, 1962. There shall be printed on the ballots to be used at said
election, the title of this Act and underneath said title on separate
lines a square or box or lever opposite the words "For Ambulance
and Rescue Service", and a corresponding square or box or lever
to the right of and opposite the words "Against Ambulance and
Rescue Service", so that the voters shall be able to designate
his or her decision for or against said Ambulance and Rescue Service.
If a majority of the votes cast on said question shall be "For Ambu-
lance and Rescue Service", then this Act shall become immediately
effective. If a majority of the votes cast on said question shall be
"Against Ambulance and Rescue Service", then this Act shall be
null and void and of no effect whatsoever.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1961.

AN ACT to add new subsection (c) to REPEAL AND RE-ENACT,
WITH AMENDMENTS, SUBSECTION (A) OF Section 37 of AR-
TICLE 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition) title
"Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Local Licenses and License Provi-
sions", said new subsection to follow immediately after subsection
(b) (4) of said Section 37, to provide that the Board of Election

Supervisors of Montgomery County are directed to give notice of
and to conduct a special election to be held within ninety days of the
effective date of this Act, to submit to the legal and qualified voters
of the Sixth Election District of Montgomery County the question
of whether or not the sale of certain alcoholic beverages and issu-
ance of licenses therefor shall be permitted or prohibited in said
Sixth District and relating generally thereto TO EXCLUDE
DARNESTOWN (6TH DISTRICT) FROM THE ELECTION
DISTRICTS IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY WHERE ISSUANCE
OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PROHIBITED AND PRO-
VIDING FOR REFERENDUM THEREON.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new subsection (c) be and it is hereby added to SUBSECTION
