25A-2. The County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County are
hereby authorized and directed to levy for the year 1962 and annually
thereafter a special tax of not more than two cents (2c) on every
One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed value of all real and
personal property located in the Seventh Election District of Anne
Arundel County, and one cent (1c) on every One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) of the assessed value of all real and personal property
located in the Eighth Election District of Anne Arundel County.

25A-3. The said special tax shall be levied and collected in the same
manner as other State and County taxes are now levied and collected.

25A-4. The proceeds of the said special tax shall be paid by the
County Commissioners semi-annually to the Seventh District Ambu-
lance and Rescue Squad, Inc.

25A-5. The funds received by the Seventh District Ambulance
and Rescue Squad, Inc. shall be used for the purposes of purchasing,
repairing, replacing, operating, maintaining and housing, ambulances
and rescue and life saving equipment and for insuring itself and its
personnel against any claims for damages resulting from public
liability, property damage and/or personal injury.

25A-6. The Seventh District Ambulance and Rescue Squad, Inc. shall
keep the proceeds of this special tax in a separate bank account and
shall keep separate records of all expenditures of said funds, and
shall make an annual financial report and a detailed operating report
to the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County on or before
October 1st of each year, which report shall show the unexpended
balance of said fund on hand. Failure to comply with this sub-section
shall exclude the Seventh District Ambulance and Rescue Squad,
Inc. from the benefits of this section.

25A-7. No resolution, regulation or by-law shall be adopted by the
Seventh District Ambulance and Rescue Squad, Inc. receiving any
of the proceeds of the said special tax, limiting or restricting the
territory within which it will respond to calls for emergency or
ambulance service.

25A-8. In the event that the Seventh District Ambulance and
Rescue Squad, Inc. shall cease to operate Ambulance and Rescue
Service, or if the funds provided for herein are not used for the pur-
poses set forth in sub-section 25A-5 or if restrictive rules or regula-
tions are adopted by the said company with respect to the area within
which it will respond to calls for emergency or ambulance service,
the said County Commissioners shall cease distributing to them any
of the proceeds of the said special tax.

25A-9. No payment or disbursement of any of the funds received
by the Seventh District Ambulance and Rescue Squad, Inc. under
the provisions of this section shall be made except with the approval
of the Board of Directors of said Seventh District Ambulance and
Rescue Squad, Inc.

25A-10. The Seventh District Ambulance and Rescue Squad, Inc.
shall give bond to the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
