The County Commissioners of Talbot County are hereby directed,
authorized and empowered to make provision by appropriation in
their annual levy from year to year for sufficient funds to pay the
salaries and expenses hereinbefore provided for AND ARE AU-
THORIZED TO REIMBURSE THE SHERIFF, IN THEIR SOUND
DISCRETION FOR ACTUAL EXPENSES PAID OUT IN THE
COURSE OF THIS OFFICIAL DUTIES AND NECESSARILY
EXPENDED WHERE CIRCUMSTANCES DID NOT WARRANT
THE OBTENTION OF PRIOR APPROVAL FROM THE COMMIS-
SIONERS. THE SHERIFF SHALL SUBMIT TO THE COMMIS-
SIONERS AN ANNUAL BUDGET ON OR BEFORE A DATE
DETERMINED BY SAID COMMISSIONERS.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this Act
relating to the salary of the Sheriff of Talbot County shall not be
construed to extend or apply to the Sheriff of Talbot County in office
on the effective date of this Act, but shall take effect with the next
term of office.
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1961.

(House Bill 934)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 417 (g),
417A, 418 (a) and 418 (e) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne
Arundel County (1947 Edition, being Article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title
"Police Department", said Sections 417 (g) and 417A having been
enacted by Chapter 658 of the Acts of 1959, and said Sections
418 (a) and 418 (e) having been amended by Chapter 658 of the
Acts of 1959, relating to the salaries of the chairman and members
of the Anne Arundel County Board of Police Examiners, and the
Police Physician of said county, providing for additional inspectors
on the Anne Arundel County Police Force and eliminating a require-
ment that certain rules of the Board of Police Examiners be
recorded among the records of the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County.
