of tolls, provided, however, the Commission shall have the authority
to continue tolls for such additional period, in the opinion of the Com-
mission, as may be necessary to create a reserve fund sufficient to
provide for future repair and maintenance of the structure or, in the
alternative the Commission may continue to impose tolls at a re-
duced rate sufficient to defray the cost of maintenance and repair
provided the imposition of tolls after the costs of the structure have
been fully paid is not in controvention of any Federal statute or law.
99E. The Commission is hereby authorized to enter into an agree-
ment with Worcester County and the Board of Public Works, repre-
senting the State of Maryland, setting forth the rights and duties of
each of the parties thereto and containing such other covenants and
conditions as may be necessary or desirable to implement this
legislation.
99F. Authorization is hereby expressly conferred upon Worcester
County to contract such debt, or obligation, in the construction of the
aforesaid bridge and approach roads as might be requisite for the
purposes aforesaid and to enter into such agreement with the State
Roads Commission and the Board of Public Works as may be neces-
sary or desirable to set forth the rights and duties of each of the
parties thereto, and containing such other covenants and conditions
as may be necessary or desirable to implement this legislation.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1961.

(Senate Bill 322)
AN ACT to repeal Section 68A of Article 24 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Worcester County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", said section having been enacted
by Chapter 554 of the Acts of 1959 and providing for a contribu-
tion by the County Commissioners of Worcester County to the cost
of constructing a bridge between Assateague Island and the main-
land of Worcester County, and said act also having authorized the
imposition of a special tax or assessment upon certain property
on Assateague Island, the proceeds of which could be treated as a
matching contribution toward the cost of the bridge; and to auth-
orize the Board of County Commissioners of Worcester County to
issue and sell serial bonds upon the faith and credit of Worcester
County in an amount not exceeding two hundred seventy-five thou-
sand dollars ($275,000) for the purpose of defraying part of the
cost of constructing a bridge or a combination bridge and causeway,
together with the approaches thereto, across Sinepuxent Bay be-
tween Assateague Island and the mainland in the State of Mary-
land, this sum or any portion thereof to be used in conjunction with
monies supplied for the same purpose by the State of Maryland,
the State Roads Commission of Maryland or from any other source
or by any one or combination of these agents and sources; and
authorizing the Board of County Commissioners of Worcester
