Senate Joint Resolution No. 1—By Senators Malkus and Weant:

Senate Joint Resolution directed against the construction given by
the judiciary to the Fourteenth Amendment in cases concerning re-
apportionment of State legislatures and the conduct of State elections.

Mr. Pine, for the Rules Committee, recommended Senate Joint Resolu-
tion No. 1 be re-referred to the Judicial Proceedings Committee.

Said recommendation was approved and Senate Joint Resolution No.
1 was referred to the Judicial Proceedings Committee.

Senate Resolution No. 1—By Senator Phoebus:

Senate Resolution urging the courts to desist from their recent usurpa-
tion of legislative functions.

Mr. Pine, for the Rules Committee, recommended Senate Resolution
No. 1 be re-referred to the Judicial Proceedings Committee.

Said recommendation was approved and Senate Resolution No. 1 was
referred to the Judicial Proceedings Committee.
