Mrs. Frances Holub is absent from her seat in the Second District
Delegation because of a sudden illness which has caused her to be
hospitalized.

Over this past weekend she became ill and is now confined to St.
Joseph's Hospital in Baltimore City where we are informed she will
be a patient for some time.

Mrs. Holub is now completing the fourth year of her first term of
service in this House and it is with regret that we have learned of
her illness. We hope that she will be feeling much better soon and
will be able to return to her home; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Delegates of Maryland, That we express
our best wishes to Mrs. Frances Holub for a speedy and complete
recovery from her illness; and be it further

Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution is sent to Mrs. Holub.

House Resolution No. 6—By Messrs. Baumann, Corrigan, Baynes, Myers,
McGuirk and Bittner:

House Resolution congratulating the soccer team of Our Lady of
Good Counsel Church in Baltimore City upon winning the soccer
championship of the Eastern United States.

WHEREAS, the Sixth District of Baltimore City is the proud home
of the championship soccer team of the Eastern United States repre-
senting Our Lady of Good Counsel Church; and

WHEREAS, the Good Counsel team after winning the State cham-
pionship in the 16- to 18-year-old age group recently became the
champions of the Eastern United States by defeating the New York
team by a 1 to O score in the championship game played at Latrobe
Park in Baltimore; and

WHEREAS, as the Eastern States champions the Good Counsel team
now meets the champions of the Western States who will be played
for the championship of the United States; and

WHEREAS, this is a distinguished honor for Our Lady of Good
Counsel Church to be represented by a championship soccer team and
the Winning of the Eastern States championship by its team deserves
the commendation of this body; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the House of Delegates of Maryland, That we extend
our congratulations to the soccer team of Our Lady of Good Counsel
Church upon becoming the Eastern States champions in soccer;
and be it further

Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution is sent to each member of
the soccer team of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.

Which was read and adopted.
