8-19.

In addition to the payment of the license fee each person, firm
or corporation shall file with the Board of Electrical Examiners
and Supervisors a penal bond to the State of Maryland in the sum
of One Thousand ($1, 000. 00) Dollars, conditioned upon the faithful
performance of any and all work entered upon or contracted by the
licensee and to save harmless the owner or real party in interest in
the property or structure within or for which the licensee shall
provide work or materials from loss, damage and/or injury which
shall arise through want of skill or through failure to use proper
material in the performance of the work by the licensee. No license
or renewal thereof shall be issued until such bond is filed. If, for
any reason, such bond becomes ineffective, then, in such event, the
license shall be void and of no effect.

8-20.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall, as of the effective date
of this chapter, hold a valid unexpired license as a Master Electrician
shall be exempt from the written examination requirements herein
provided and shall be entitled to the regular renewal of such license.
Any person, firm or corporation which has, for a period of at least
two years prior to the effective date of this chapter, pursued the
trade of a Restricted Electrician and is deemed competent by the
Board of Electrical Examiners and Supervisors may be granted a
Restricted Electrician license without written examination, pro-
vided that application for such license is made within 90 days fol-
lowing the effective date of this chapter.

8-21.

No license or renewal thereof granted under this chapter may be
transferred. Whenever the representative of a firm or corporation,
that is, the person who had qualified as a Master or Restricted
Electrician and whose name appeared on the face of the firm's or
corporation's license, shall die or in any other manner terminate
his employment or association with such firm or corporation, then
the firm or corporation shall so notify the Board and immediately
surrender such license.

8-22.

Applicants for licenses or renewals thereof shall sign signature
cards on forms provided by the Board, one to be retained in the
Board's files and the other to be forwarded to the inspection au-
thority.

8-23.

(a) The license granted under this chapter shall be conspicuously
displayed in the office or place of business of the licensee.

(b) Every licensee shall conspicuously display on his truck or
automobile while actually pursuing his trade a sign having dimen-
sions of at least 12 inches by 16 inches showing the name of the
licensee as it appears on the face of the license as well as the licen-
see's telephone number.
