J. MILLARD TAWES, Governor 81
8-24.
Licensees shall notify the Board in writing of any change of busi-
ness address within 30 days following the change.
8-25.
The Board of Electrical Examiners and Supervisors shall have
full power to suspend or revoke for proper cause any license or re-
newal thereof issued under this sub-title after a public hearing of
all parties in interest. At least 14 days prior to such a public hear-
ing the Board shall by certified mail notify the licensee charged
with violation of the nature, time and place of the alleged violation
as well as the date, hour and place of the public hearing. At such
hearing the licensee shall be privileged to retain counsel of his own
choice who may examine and cross-examine, as the case may be,
all witnesses testifying before the Board. Should the licensee desire
a transcript of the proceedings, he shall furnish a stenographer ap-
proved by the Board. The licensee shall, of course, pay his own
counsel as well as the stenographer. All witnesses appearing before
the Board shall testify under oath. Any member of the Board is
hereby authorized to administer such oath. Upon conclusion of the
proceedings the Board shall render its decision no later than the
second regular meeting of the Board following such conclusion. If
the Board revokes or suspends the license, the licensee shall imme-
diately surrender the same. In its discretion the Board may issue a
written warning to the licensee or may grant leave to the licensee to
rectify the violation within a specifically limited time.
Proper cause for suspension or revocation shall include, but not be
limited to, the following:
(a) Performance or permitting the performance of defective or
dangerous work.
(b) Failure to provide the required bond.
(c) Violation of the Rules and Regulations adopted by the Board
pursuant to sub-section 8-2(b), supra.
(d) Permitting any unlicensed person, firm or corporation to
utilize the licensee's license in order to secure a certification card
from the inspection authority, or securing such a card for the use
of unlicensed persons whose work is not done under the licensee's
supervision.
(e) Failure for more than thirty days to correct a violation of
the National Electrical Code, after having been notified by the in-
spection authority of such violation.
(f) Failure to complete work to the satisfaction of the Board or
the inspection authority.
8-26.
Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to prevent any person
from performing any of the kinds of work enumerated herein pro-
vided that such performance is under the supervision of a fully li-
censed Master or Restricted Electrician, whichever is applicable.
And the work so performed shall be the responsibility of the licensee.
