in the Commission on Interracial Problems and Relations, establishing
procedures for complaints, investigations and hearings under this sub-
title, providing for the powers of the courts and states attorneys in
the enforcement of this sub-title, and relating generally to the prohibi-
tion of discrimination in certain places of public accommodation in
this State on the basis of race, creed, color or national origin. "

House Bill No. 2—By Messrs. Davis, Moore and Hess:

A Bill entitled "An Act to add new Section 249A to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition, being Article 13
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title 'Harford County',
to follow immediately after Section 249 thereof and to be under the
new sub-title 'Ground Rents', to prohibit the creation of certain ground
rents in Harford County after the effective date of this Act. "

House Bill No. 3—By Mr. McGuirk:

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 37 (x) of Article 87 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1961
Supplement), title 'Sheriffs, ' sub-title 'Compensation and Duties, ' to
increase the compensation of the Sheriff of Baltimore City. "

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Rules.

House Bill No. 4—By The Frederick County Delegation:

A Bill entitled "An Act to add new Section 10A-1 to the Frederick
County Code, 1959, (being Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland), title 'Frederick County', to follow immediately after
Section 10-1 thereof and to be under the new sub-title 'Chapter 10A.
Pensions and Retirement', to authorize the County Commissioners of
Frederick County to investigate and to establish and maintain a general
county retirement or pension system for county employees. "

House Bill No. 5—By Prince George's County Delegation:

A Bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Sections 464D (1), 464D (2), 464D (3), 464D (4), 464D (5), 464D (6),
464D (7), 464D (8), 464D (9) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1953 Edition), as enacted by Chapter 735 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland 1959, being Article 17
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland± title 'Prince George's
County', sub-title 'George Washington Memorial Parkway' and to enact
in place thereof nine (9) new sections to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County, of 1953 being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title 'Prince George's County', sub-
title 'George Washington Memorial Parkway' and to be numbered sec-
tions 464D (1) to 464D (9), inclusive, said new sections granting to
the County Commissioners for Prince George's County the power and
authority to enter into agreements with the United States, acting through
the National Capital Planning Commission, for financing the acquisition
of lands to be used for a portion of the George Washington Memorial
