J. MILLARD TAWES, Governor 13

Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1957 Edition, being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne
Arundel County", sub-title "Police", to read as follows:

16-41A

The County Commissioners are hereby directed to pay to the
parent or legal guardian of each minor child of any member of the
Anne Arundel County Police Force who died prior to June 1, 1961,
as a result of accident or disease incurred or contracted while such
member was in the actual performance of police duty and as a direct
and natural result thereof, the sum of Fifty ($50. 00) dollars each
month until said child marries, becomes of legal age, or is emanci-
pated, whichever event occurs first.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1962.

Approved March 23, 1962.

CHAPTER 7
(Senate Bill 12)

AN ACT authorizing the County Commissioners of Allegany County
to convey to the Board of Education of Allegany County, real
property for the construction of a Junior High School when it
is determined that said property is no longer needed for County
purposes, except in the case of a cemetery.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Allegany County are hereby
authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to convey for such
sum as they deem reasonable, to the Board of Education of Allegany
County, any County real property or part thereof for the purpose
of constructing, operating and maintaining thereon a Junior High
School, and any such other buildings and facilities relating to the
operation thereof, providing, however, that said County Commis-
sioners shall first determine that said real property is no longer
needed for County purposes, and provided further that nothing
herein shall apply to any County real property now being used as a
cemetery or burial ground.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of laws,
public general or public local, inconsistent with the provisions of
this Act are hereby repealed to the extent of any such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
upon passage.
