II. And be it enacted, That fuch part of the fupplement to the act, entitled,
An act to eftablifh a market in Frederick-town, in Frederick county, and for the
regulation of. the faid market, as confines the opening of the market to funrife,
and makes it the duty of the clerk to give notice of the opening the faid market
by ringing of the bell or other fignal, be and the fame is hereby repealed.

A Supplement to an act, entitled, An act to empower Robert
Buchanan, Simon Wilmer, of Edward, and Henry Curry, fe-
curities for Thomas Jones, deceafed, collector of Kent county,
to complete the collection due and unpaid to the faid Thomas
Jones, deceafed, for the year feventeen hundred and ninety-five.
WHEREAS the act to which this is a fupplement does not allow any
commiffions to the faid Robert Buchanan, Simon Wilmer, of Ed-
ward, and Henry Curry, for monies by them to be collected in vir-
tue of the faid act; therefore,
II. Be it enacted, by the General Affembly of Maryland, That the faid Robert
Buchanan, Simon Wilmer, of Edward, and Henry Curry, fhall and they are
hereby entitled to receive the fame commiffions upon their collections to be made
agreeable to the act to which this is a fupplement as collectors are by law enti-
tled to for the collection of taxes and county rates.

An ACT for the valuation of the lot of ground in Queen-Anne,
in Prince-George's county, whereon the warehoufes ftand, and
for paying the proprietor the value thereof.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS Thomas Lanfdale, of Prince-George's county, by petition
to this general affembly hath ftated, that he is defirous of felling the
lot of ground lying in Queen-Anne whereon the warehoufes for the
reception and infpection of tobacco Hand, and prayed that an act may pafs au-
thorifing the levy court of the aforefaid county to take the fame at the valuation
of perfons to be appointed by the court for the purpofe ;

II. Be it enacted, by the General Affembly of Maryland, That the juftices of
the peace for the faid county, be and they are hereby authorifed at their next
meeting, to appoint three judicious men, freeholders in the faid county, to value,
upon oath, the faid property, and, to make return of their valuation in current
money, under their hands and feals, unto the faid juftices at their next meeting
which may happen thereafter.

And take the
property, &c.

III. And be it enacted, That the juftices aforefaid are hereby authorifed and
empowered to take the faid property at the valuation made as aforefaid, if they
judge it for the intereft of the county, and to levy on the taxable property in the
county the amount of the valuation made as aforefaid, and the fum fo levied
fhall be collected by the collector for the county in the fame manner as the
county affeffment, and the collector fhall tender and pay the money to the faid
Thomas Lanfdale, his executors, adminiftrators and affigns; and the faid justices
fhall, immediately after fuch payment, caufe the aforefaid lot of ground to be fur-
veved and laid out by the furveyor of faid county, with good and fufficient
boundaries, and a certificate thereof to be returned and recorded in the county
records, and the faid juftices, and their fucceffors, fhall be and are hereby vefted
with an eftate, in fee-fimple, in the faid property, for the life of the faid county
for ever.
